IS IT TRUE THE TIME IS PRECIOUS?

Meet again...wish you all with a great condition.

Today I would like to discuss about 'time'. Everybody knows how 

precious the time is. Words like 'running out of time', 'time is golden' and alike all about time. Other related words such 'I am busy', 'I don't have enough sleep', or even the watches that we are wearing, all talking about time. Seems like we are dealing with time in our everyday life. 

This morning I was chatting with my son about time. He forgot his watch for school. And infact to him he needs the watch desperately today because now he is sitting for his monthly test. We were chatting why he has forgotten his watch. At least he start to learn what I have said all this while about time. I did ask him to do preparation for school before he goes to bed -  continously!!!! And yet the same thing happened. 

Actually he needs to catch the bus to school before 6.15am every morning school. I told him it is not about his stuf, the bag, the watch, the money or else but it is about getting to the bus pickup point at 6.15am. Whatever he do he need to be there by that time or else the bus will left without him - and sadly to say he may missed the school!!!!!

The day before we did chat about doing preparation for exam. He understood doing the preparation is around 2 or 3 days before. Thats what he understood when to study and how. By having this situation at least I can relate the time to do revision with the needs of appreciating time. Infact now he slowly understand that he need to do revision all the time continuously, not on the specific day or dates. It is about learning not about preparing for exam!!!!!!!!! Once this being understood I hopw he will see the study is not for the exam and getting grades but more.

It is clear now that learning through experience and example is one of the most reliable and effective way in educating the children. One funny thing was also happened yesterday to my youngest son. He is now sitting for UPSR. Without realising what was happening, he was accidently forgotten his pencils and other writing stuff!!! Imagine how that can happen. Partly because of me, not doing double check with him before we went out for school. 

One thing for sure is that they are in the learning process and guidance is always needed. Although we have explained and reminded them many times and continuously, still it happened. By understanding the processes that they need to learn and go through, we need to be patient without hesitance in guiding them continuously - even sometimes doublechecking to what they are doing!!!!!!!!! After all they our responsibility though - amanah!

The same thing to ourself when we are in a rush. Many similar things could happen when we are in a rush. Speeding, taking risk, missing the meeting and alike are examples of those consequences. It is true to be highlighted here that we are always in a disadvantage side if we so ignorance of the importance of time, as being said in Verse Al Asr in Quran. In fact we are running out of time - our age is not getting longer but shorter instead. Just like counting back on time - getting shorter to reach our end of the journey.

As conclusions I would say education needs a perseverance, especially in educating the children. Without passion and patient I don't think they will developed as we wanted them to be - a good muslim.
